The HUMAN App 2.0: What’s new
Last month, we released the long-anticipated rerelease of the HUMAN App. For those following our community newsletters, you’ll know we’ve been working on some significant backend improvements to the App. These have been aimed at improving overall stability and uptime, responsiveness, and security.
And it’s also had a facelift – to help new and experienced users navigate their accounts, complete tasks, and withdraw their funds.
Other updates include:
The HUMAN App – as with the Protocol – is open source, and will continue to be worked on according to community proposals. As such, we’re also implementing a governance system within the App itself, to help the community have their say on the features they wish to see.
You can learn more about the HUMAN App, and the architecture behind it, in our official documentation.
What’s next
Tweaks, improvements, adjustments. Earlier this year, we imposed limits on the daily supply of HMT available for earning via the App. This is a provisional measure to ensure ecosystem sustainability, in the lead up to full CVAT integration and the 1.0 release of the Job Launcher. These two steps will allow more jobs to be more easily launched to the Protocol, and will make more tasks – and ergo, more HMT – available for earning via the App.
The HUMAN App is a powerful annotation tool, aimed at providing opportunity to distributed workers, and the precise, comprehensive data required to fuel new generations of AI. Soon, we’ll be releasing news about our recent experiment with the SALK Institute, which demonstrated the Protocol’s capability of delivering accurate annotation at lower cost, greater speed, and higher accuracy than traditional methods.
In the meantime, we welcome feedback for the new HUMAN App on our Discord. Stay tuned to our channels for further updates.
