Who is the grants program for?

2 min read

The grants program has two distinct categories: HUMAN Protocol adoption, and HUMAN Protocol improvement of functionality..

Briefly, a recap of HUMAN Protocol’s core functionalities:

  • Interchain settlement
  • Data set creation and annotation
  • Job markets
  • Proof of HUMANity

Adoption

The grants program will reward - through HMT, cash, and technological help - applicants who are looking to build with HUMAN Protocol. The goal is to expand the usage of HUMAN Protocol.

  1. Ecosystem collaboration

Included in this category are projects operating in the blockchain space, with whom HUMAN Protocol can form a strategic relationship in order to mutually benefit the growth, adoption, and awareness of each other, along with the opportunity to create next generation technological integrations.

Example: integrating Proof of HUMANity into a wallet, or interchain settlement of work.

  1. Business solution

This is a question of integrating HUMAN Protocol functionalities into an already existing enterprise.

Example: using HUMAN Protocol for settlement of an already existing pool of workers generating revenue, such as those working in a call centre across the globe.

  1. New projects

HUMAN Protocol makes many new businesses possible; or, it would simply be a preferable solution to many WIP projects looking to scale and settle a distributed workforce.

Functionality

This category of the grants program is designed to reward improvements to HUMAN Protocol. The first category of this is exemplified by the recently announced BugBounty program, which has its own separate portal.

Broadly speaking, the functionality part of the grant’s program is designed to reward existing members of the blockchain community, and particularly those within the HMT community. Anyone can contribute to HUMAN, either by who they know, what they know, or their unique skills.

  • A developer could help HUMAN Protocol with development tasks.
  • A content creator could help to promote HUMAN Protocol with the creation of educational materials.
  • Neither of these? Anyone who knows of a great business use case that could utilize HUMAN Protocol can earn rewards in HMT for their contributions.

Beyond this, anyone can submit work which does not directly fall under these categories, but which benefits the growth of HUMAN Protocol, for reward assessment.
